PCI Plug-in Video Switch

Designed to be versatile and adaptable, the Vision Switch provides a complete 16x16 video crosspoint switch within a single PCI plug-in card. Larger switch sizes are also possible by adding a second Vision Switch card to produce either a 32x16 or 16 x 32 switch.

Vision Switch is supplied with driver software for Windows NT/2000. A simple and intuitive Windows application program is provided enabling users to control the crosspoint switch or, for users who wish to control Vision Switch from their own software, a Software Development Kit (SDK) is also provided.

Vision Switch may also be used with our Horizon4VW range of multi-screen graphics adapters. In this configuration Vision Switch is connected to the Horizon via inter-card ribbon cables, enabling the Horizon video overlays to select 1 of 16 possible video sources. A single Vision Switch card will support up to four Horizon4VW graphics adapters.

The Following connections are available on the Vision Switch

• 2 x 26 way high density D sockets on the rear panel for the Input and Output cables.
• 4 on card 20 way ribbon headers enabling the connection of upto 4 Horizon Cards.
• 1 on card 20 way ribbon header for interfacing with the Vision TV.
• 2 on card 20 way ribbon headers for connection to a second Vision Switch Card.
